Dear Friends,

My campaign to keep my job as Nashville’s 4th Circuit Court Judge is running on all cylinders. I’ll be honest–I’m having a blast. It’s been a privilege to connect with so many folks over the last few months.

One aspect of campaigning I've found particularly enriching is the opportunity to address questions about my role as judge and the legal system. I’ll share an example with you here. A question I’ve been asked a few times pertains to how I navigate unconscious bias in the courtroom. My response: First we must acknowledge that everyone has unconscious biases, but the ability to be impartial isn’t so much a temperament as it is a muscle that has been trained over time over time. This is one reason why electing an experienced judge is so important. I’ve had decades to learn the law, practice the law, and conduct personal inventories on unconscious biases. It is my firm belief that everyone stepping into the courtroom deserves unwavering respect and fair treatment, a commitment I pledge to continually uphold.

As we approach the March 5th election, the financial demands of this campaign are constantly on my mind. Everything costs money–from yard signs to digital ads. And, these tactics are necessary to get my name in front of voters. With that, I humbly ask for your support.  Any amount will significantly contribute to the success of my campaign and, ultimately, my ability to continue serving the people of Davidson County.

Wishing you joyous holidays and expressing my gratitude for your ongoing support.

Warm regards,

Stan Kweller

4th Circuit Court Judge
